YUSUF PIERCE

Yusef Pierce, a self-taught California-based artist in his thirties, began creating art in prison as a way to communicate with his young children. His work explores themes of racism, resilience, and revolution, blending realism with political symbolism and pop art influences. Released in 2022, Yusef now teaches art in juvenile halls and prisons, sharing his journey to inspire others and demonstrating how creativity can be a powerful force for change.
