Axxception
James P. Anderson
24 x 30 in
Acrylic on Canvas
In Axxception, music provides that possibility of release. James plays bass guitar, and in each painting his “ax” creates an opening into expansive blue space beyond brick walls. Axxception reimagines the iconic Transamerica building of San Francisco, a saxophone player on a nearby roof, with Anderson’s signature bird—a symbol of freedom—soaring over the scene.
